Recently someone in one of my networking groups was telling us that despite his numerous attempts at marketing his web design business, he wasn’t getting anywhere, and he asked for advice.There are a lot of things I could tell him, but I started with these 5. Read these tips and then, in the Comments, tell me what is or isn’t working in your marketing efforts:

1. Set yourself apart from the others. See what others are offering and how they are talking about web design and see what they are missing. Fill those gaps. Set yourself up as the expert by providing quick and informative YouTube videos that you share on social media.
2. Consistency consistency consistency in your marketing efforts.
3. Use education-based marketing as a way to reach people and show yourself as an expert. Don’t worry about giving away too much info. Just be sure to break the info out so you can make several posts about one thing.
4. Post on specific days so people get used to seeing you, including your blogposts.
5. Try getting/using speaking gigs to get your name out there.
6. Work it hard every day and be patient. I hope this helps!”
